We feel like words will never do this event justice, but we’ll give it a go! We had the honour of organising a very special clients wedding day last Christmas, and we decided to go with a Winter Wonderland mixed with Great Gatsby theme! The ceremony was beautiful and took place in the upstairs galleries at One Marylebone, where we used the gorgeous Chandelle chairs from Great Hire. We brought in a harpist to play during the wedding precession, and created a beautiful floral backdrop using our friends at the amazing Wildabout Flowers. Moving through the drapes into the reception, the champagne was flowing and the canapés mouth-watering – just a taster of what was being provided by our dynamic caterers Zafferano for the evening to come. Downstairs we created a Narnia-esque entrance, with real 8ft Christmas trees lining the walkway of the draped tunnel we created to lead into dinner. Again we were working with the geniuses at Wise Productions who designed custom Gatsby monogram gobo’s to project on the walls, and lit the room in gold tones to create a glamorous and intimate atmosphere. The tables were adorned with huge floral arrangements and candles in crystal candleholders, branded selfie sticks and personalised shimmering name card menus. The food was exquisite and the guests were left satisfied. Moving on into the rest of the evening, after the first dance, the drapes were pulled back to reveal a photobooth, ice sculpture, dessert station, light up letters and a casual seating area with personalised pillows! Guests danced to the beats of the amazing band The Soul Jets into the early hours of the morning. The whole event was a huge success and we haven’t even been able to fit in every detail! If you want to see more from the wedding, check out the hashtag #CarrioWedding2016 or search the location One Marylebone on Instagram!

Science Gallery London

The Science Gallery London will open in the Spring of 2018 and with modern and creative feel that mixes art and science, this is definitely one to watch out for! Set over three floors, you’ll find everything you need including cafes, courtyards, a terrace, theatre and galleries, demonstrating that the space has the potential to accommodate an array of events with lots of flexible space right at your fingers tips. The venue capacity is from 20 – 750 with an in-house chef brigade to cater to your every need.

Swingers Oxford Circus

If something is successful, why not make another? This is the exact motto Swingers Golf have opted for, after the success of their first venue beneath the Gherkin, a new location will be opening on Oxford Street from February 2018. This venue is definitely going to be pretty mega (20,000 sq. ft mega to be precise) with a concealed entrance, allowing guests to be transported to the beach with their seaside theme. With two 9-hole golf courses to navigate through, we wonder whether this could be the perfect entertainment for your next team-building event.

Leake Street Arches

Under Waterloo train station the Leake Street Arches have a seven-metre high exposed brick arch. It is one of eight former railway arches that have been refurbished to offer people a “curated collection” of independent restaurants and bars. The private events space is located in unit seven and holds up to 300 people. It is open now until the spring.

Kensington Palace Pavilion

A glass-fronted building is to replace the Orangery for three years. While the Orangery undergoes conservation work, there will be a purpose-built pavilion overlooking the Sunken Gardens and east façade of the palace.

The new space will be available to hire from March 2018. It will have two event spaces for 800 people, as well as a covered terrace area.

Annabel’s

Annabel’s is coming back, and just two doors down from the original club at 46 Berkeley Square. This 18th Century, Grade I listed Georgian townhouse is, at 26,000 square feet, considerably larger and will feature: restaurants, bars, private dining rooms, a garden, cigar salon and a health and wellbeing spa. Housed in the basement, the nightclub will pay homage to the decadency of the original Annabel’s.

Soho House White City

Rumoured to be opening in April, Soho House is set to be moving into White City as part of the area’s massive rejuvenation. Moving into the former BBC TV Centre, the hotel will feature fifty rooms and a rooftop pool. BBC Television Centre at dusk

SUSHISAMBA

SUSHISAMBA takes its blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine to Covent Garden’s famed Opera Terrace within the historic Market Building. The Opera Terrace boasts a balcony with striking rooftop views across the Piazza, whilst the menu will feature new and signature dishes with an emphasis on piquant flavours, the finest ingredients and creative presentations.

Kettner’s Town House

Brought to life again by Soho House, Kettner’s Townhouse is a restaurant and Champagne bar with 33 bedrooms; somewhat smaller than the 2017 offering from Soho House: The Ned with its nine restaurants and 252 rooms! The restaurant will use locally sourced ingredients to create a menu that is inspired by the history of the building whilst many of its original Grade II listed details, floral plaster-work and heritage mirrors have also been retained.

Principle

The Principal London is a Grade II* listed landmark building that occupies the eastern flank of Russell Square in Bloomsbury. The opening of the 334-room hotel in spring 2018 will restore the original grande dame to her original glory while administering a shot of adrenaline to the heart of London’s most literary neighbourhood.

Prosecco House

The Prosecco House came into fruition because the owner and founder Kristina Issa was fed up of ordering mediocre prosecco. Kristina has created a luxurious escape where everyone feels welcome, think antique tables topped with mirrored glass. During the day there is a delicious spread of Italian focaccia sandwiches, and coffees.

The Dixon

Cast your mind forward to autumn and there will be a nice London boutique hotel: The Dixon. Making its home in the Grade II listed 1906 John Dixon Butler Police Station and magistrates court on Tooley Street, the hotel will have 193 rooms, nine spacious suites and walls adorned with local art and culture.

Bob Bob Cité

Bob Bob Cité (earlier known as Bob Bob Exchange) will be opening at the start of the year in none other than the Leadenhall Building, although you might know it better as the Cheesegrater. At the end of 2017 we found out that Eric Chavot had joined the restaurant group and will oversee the kitchen at both Bob Bob Ricard and Bob Bob Cité as executive head chef.

Hard Rock Hotel

Yep, London is getting its first Hard Rock Hotel, the first in the country to be precise. The Cumberland Hotel in Marble Arch is going to be converted into the hotel, which will feature a Hard Rock Café, restaurant, speakeasy bar, spa and a Rock Shop so you can stock up on more merchandise…

With many of the games not kicking off until early evening, this is a great way to engage all your staff with games as well as build up some great team spirit!

Bring the outdoors in! Especially fun if you don’t have any outdoor space at your office, it can be really easy to get some Astroturf laid out to feel like you are out on the pitch! There are some companies that we have on call that can do this for you – you could even get a splash of white line paint to give it that extra football feel!

We have some great caterers that we work with who are fantastic at fulfilling themes. Take your pick of a buffet or bowl food, canapés or stations, from a Russian inspired menu designed by a caterer of your choice.

If you have got the space to have a dedicated viewing area for the games, how about setting up some amazing themed furniture? Whether it be going for the traditional Russian Flag colours, or the England Flag colours, or a more general football theme – it will definitely bring a different atmosphere to the office.

If you don’t have a lot of space you can still get into the spirit with some amazing decorations around the office. Whether flags depicting the different teams (especially fun if you have a diverse range of cultures in the team) or bringing a Russian party theme to your desks, this can be an easy way to liven up the working day!

Give your team the experience of watching the matches on a big screen after work by bringing in some AV to the office. If the largest screen you have is on a desktop computer it makes it difficult to get the whole team involved. By simply adding a large screen or monitor you can bring the team together and make it a real experience – we have some talented technicians on our books and electrical hire companies that we can source large screens, projectors and speakers from – all professionally and easily installed of course!

Finally, if you really want to go all out how about some Russian entertainment? Keep your team in the spirit of things by bringing in some Russian Dancers or Russian Bands for some evening or lunchtime entertainment – whatever your budget we can find something for you!

So if you can’t leave the building for the matches, make sure you bring a little bit of the World Cup in to your office this June. If you would like help with implementing any of the above ideas give us a call!

Small but so perfectly formed, The Curtain’s fully soundproofed 40-seat, lounge-style screening room is a great space for exclusive previews, presentations, press events and even the odd football match. Featuring a cinema-grade projector, 200’’ fixed screen, cutting edge 7.2 surround sound system and with its own cocktail bar and rom service, it’s an ideal place to while away a few hours.

The Theatre combines three major art works with a flawless bar. One is a multiscreen sensor-activated interactive piece that-continually adapts to the activity in the room. Another is an epic work of ink and canvas covering an entire wall. And the third is an expression from one of the world’s leading graffiti artists. The room has a theatre and state of the art audio visual equipment, which can be used for film screenings, live performances, Q&As and intimate soirees.

Who: The party was for 1,600 guests including execs, PR and the high-fashion staff of the Net-A-Porter group.

Venue: The iconic and stunning Natural History Museum. The reception was held in Waterhouse Way opening into the impressive Hintze Hall with the 25.2 metre blue whale skeleton suspended from the ceiling.

Styling: We turned Hintze Hall into a monochromatic winter wonderland by styling a variety of 40 Christmas trees with snow and Narnia-esque lampposts dotted amongst them. Production included 4 mesmerising and enormous disco balls that filled the venue with their reflections, in addition to snowflake projections, winter logs and candles. Entertainment came from a band and DJ elevated on a stage on the steps.

Food & Drink: For catering we created a warming and cosy concoction of dishes to replicate a Nordic Christmas market. Mac ‘n’ cheese along with hotdogs and meatballs were the main attraction. For dessert a ‘Hygge’ station was set up which was filled with toffee apples, toasted marshmallows and boozy chocolate shots. The drinks were flowing all night with the guests able to choose from the all-night spirit bar or a variety of cocktails.

With stunning panoramic views of London, and a stylish cosmopolitan interior, this venue is one of the city’s hottest destinations for events. The venue has private and semi-private areas but can also be hired exclusively for up to 180 guests seated and 360 standing. The venue houses 3 bars/café areas, 4 dining / lounge areas, 12 professional standard 10-pin bowling lanes, 2 smaller dens, and a 12,000ft2 all year round ice-rink. The rink is housed under a completely uninterrupted single-span and the venue has the capability to cover over the ice, creating a rock-hard insulated surface that transforms the rink into a ballroom! The whole venue can host up to 1,00 guests.

A famous space combining heritage and scale for major events. This venue is one of the largest and oldest unobstructed event spaces in London. An exposed King Post timber roof giving a clear span of 60ft above a 778 square metre antique wooden floor makes it a perfect location for conferences, awards dinners, fashion shows and exhibitions. The large raised balcony is ideal for a reception area or presentation platform. The venue has the capacity to host receptions for up to 1,000 guests, and seated events for up to 700 guests.

The Grade II listed Main Hall was designed in the 1930s and has a unique Art Deco charm. With a Mezzanine level that looks out over the Bank of England, the space is flexible and can be adapted to accommodate your needs – whether for a dinner, standing reception, wedding banquet, conference or exhibition. Accommodating groups ranging from 150 to 800 in exceptional glamour.

If you are looking for a unique way to celebrate the festive season in London then look no further than London’s original ski lodge and winter party venue. The Wood Deck will be transformed into a magical ski lodge; with pine trees, falling snow, reindeer, snowmen, ski racks, piste maps and strings of fairy lights and lanterns. The centrepiece is a bar serving a selection of beverages from a choice of 12 including Schnapps and flavoured vodkas. To help combat the cold and lightly drifting snowflakes, guests can enjoy delicious candied pecans, mulled wine, hot spiced cider, mugs of steaming hot chocolate cocktails and big woolly rugs, which will all help to keep you lovely and snug during the long winter nights. Or head to the Log Cabin – an atmospheric space to enjoy a drink in front of a decorative fire, Christmas tree and cosy armchairs and sofas complete with blankets.

Inspired by Soho’s spirit of fun and indulgence, this venue sits on the site of London’s iconic Marquee Club where artists like David Bowie and The Rolling Stones strutted their stuff. With such a rich heritage and well known Soho address it’s the perfect place to host your event. Spread across two floors, the space is very versatile and can accommodate over 800 guests for a standing reception.
