The Ned Hotel from The Soho House Group
The Ned is a new lifestyle hotel with distinctive personality, combining the attention to detail and service of a boutique hotel, with grand proportions. The creation of the The Ned started with the Grade 1 listed building which was originally designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, who was affectionately known as ‘Ned’. The buildings original features have all been restored, including the floors, ceilings, pillars, wood panelling and the bank vault, including its safety deposit boxes.
Offering 252 bedrooms, including 20 Heritage Rooms and 4 speciality suites, each room will have unique elements so no two will be the same. Also housing 9 individual bars & restaurants with a range of existing Soho House concepts and new concepts, unique to The Ned.
Soho House and Sydell Group have collaborated on the design, which evokes a sense of 1920’s glamour and will continue to collaborate on the hotel operation when the doors open in ‘early 2017’.
Nobu Hotel Shoredtich
Located on Willow Street in the Shoreditch area of London, the hotel will feature 150 rooms, an 80 seat lobby lounge, a 240 seat Nobu restaurant with outdoor courtyard, 179 square meters of event space with daylight, wellness facilities, all with food and beverage menus developed by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa specifically and uniquely for the hotel. Nobu Hotel Shoreditch is the luxury lifestyle destination experience defined by its iconic city setting, extraordinary guest service and the ever-present Nobu brand found in its restaurant and rooms.
Located on the ground floor, the dynamic events space Kaijô benefits from natural daylight and private access from the street. The flexibility of the space offers up to 6 different room options over 179 square meters. It is the perfect place to organise any type of meeting or social event, with the unique added value of serving Nobu’s iconic cuisine. Whether you want to host a product launch, trade event, seminar, exhibition, theatre or music event the Kaijo space can adapt to your needs.
The Curtain Hotel
The Curtain Hotel and Private Members Club will open early 2017. Featuring a roof top swimming pool, private screening room and The Red Rooster restaurant, The Curtain will be a corner of Manhattan cool in Shoreditch. Michael Achenbaum, the man responsible for some of New York’s most fashionable hotels, brings NYC to London with The Curtain Hotel and Private Members Club, run by his Gansevoort Hotel Group. With a gym designed by Jon Squirrel of The Vault, art curated by Steve Lazarides gallery owner best known for his role as Banksy’s agent, and photography by Mick Rock, The Curtain scores high in the rock ‘n’ roll stakes. Think Soho House with a New York accent. Seventy million pounds has been spanked on the project and you can see where it’s gone The Curtain Hotel will feature 120 guest rooms, including six suites, rooftop swimming pool and lounge, spa, 24-hour fitness centre, and more than 6,000 square feet of meeting and event space including ballroom and screening room. The Curtain Members will have access to all hotel areas as well as additional restaurant and bar spaces.
NeueHouse London
NeueHouse Covent Garden (stay tuned for opening dates will be located just off the Strand and overlooking the River Thames, NeueHouse Covent Garden will occupy 65,000 square-feet in the iconic Adelphi Building.
First developed in 1748 and then reimagined as an Art Deco masterpiece in the 1930s, the Adelphi has deep ties to the city’s artistic and literary past. The building is set against the pristine flower beds, pathways and majestic sculptures of Victoria Embankment Gardens, a bucolic retreat that sits along the Thames.
The members-only community, which comprises leading entrepreneurs and creative teams, will enjoy work spaces, experiences, and personalized services that will foster new ideas and important associations. This will be the first NeueHouse located outside the United States, offering the members a global network and a U.K house to call home.
